We offer detailed copy edits at a rate of $0.015-0.018 per word. Rates are dependent on the type, length, and scope of the project.
Copy Editing + Proofreading
For copy editing + proofreading, rates range between $0.019-0.021, depending on the scope, length, and type of project.
Proofreading Only
We offer proofreading services for $0.01 per word for fiction, $0.012 per word for nonfiction.
Developmental Editing
Need more extensive help with your manuscript, including world-building, continuity, character development, and sensitivity reading? Developmental editing services are available at $0.023-0.025 per word, dependent on the project.
Book Blurb Consultation
A well-crafted book blurb is concise, attention-getting, and memorable. Let us help you craft the perfect book blurb for your fiction project. 200 words at $45 per book. We require submission of a two-page, single-spaced, detailed synopsis or outline of the book, unless we are also providing editing services.
Queries & Pitches
Need help writing the perfect pitch or query to land an agent or publishing deal? We can help you with that. $20 for 100 word “elevator pitches.” $50 for 500 word queries. We require submission of a two-page, single-spaced, detailed synopsis or outline of the book, unless we are also providing editing services. Contact us for more details.
Turnaround time varies dependent on the project. An estimated turnaround date will be provided when service is requested.
Submissions are queued in the order projects are received. All materials must be submitted before we can add the project to our editorial calendar.
Payment is accepted through PayPal. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due before work begins, with the remainder due upon completion. We will do our best to provide you with exceptional service, but if you are dissatisfied, we will return 50% of the fee with the understanding that our work will not appear in the published book or marketing materials. If our work is subsequently used in whole or in part, we will bill for the full fee.
Due to heavy work schedules, rush jobs are not possible.
